The Process of Reentry begins with our pre-release phase. The COB/VIP Reentry Dorm was created to provide the necessary preparation for men before their return to society.

Life Saving Work
We attend court weekly for support and have successfully assisted our participants in obtaining early termination from probation. Despite facing a sentence of 192 months to life, thanks to the belief of both God and the Judge in our reentry program, he was released to us as part of his plea bargain in collaboration with probation and the courts. Our motto of “Transforming Lives” has been reaffirmed today, as we have saved a life from serving a life sentence.

Human Transformation
After serving 15 years Mr. Willie Dean was released from Everglades Correctional Institution, on Friday, 8/2/24. He had been housed in the Reentry Dorm and participated in the COB/VIP Reentry class, receiving services such as an individual reentry plan, employability and life skills training, and mental toughness training from one of our Reentry Coaches at Everglades Cl. Reentry Coach Rivera picked him up upon release, took him to eat, and then dropped him off with his probation officer, who placed an ankle monitor on Mr. Dean. However, an hour later, we received a call from the probation officer stating that Mr. Dean needed an address on file before being allowed to go.
The reentry team quickly came together with a post release plan and booked him a hotel for 3 days. We gave him food and clothes. During this time, Rivera spoke to Mr. Dean's family, who had not spoken to him in years. After hearing about his progress and growth, the family had a change of heart and was open to reconnecting with him.
One month ago, 70-year-old Mr. Dean was released with no money, no support and homeless-no where to go. Today with the assistance of our Reentry Coaches from the Circle of Brotherhood/VIP Reentry he has reconnected with his family, obtained his license, found a place to stay, and is grateful to be free. This is what Reentry Transformation looks like!
